Winglights nExt Installation & Use

Compatibility:

Our Winglights are suitable for any kind of handlebar with a diameter of 22mm, both if a crescent (e-scooters) or a hollow profile (usually bikes and e-bikes).

Required clearance:

For the installation the Winglights require 12.5 mm of free space at the end of the handlebar. You can cut your existing grip or replace it with another one not closed at the extremity.

How to use the WingLights nExt:

To operate, the Winglight nExt doesn’t need any connection or switch. Just press the embedded button to turn the blinking light on or off. And if you forget it on, the WingLight nExt will preserve the battery deactivating itself after a defined period of time.

Battery duration:

The battery included in the product is a 1450mAh 3.0V non-rechargeable. You can expect it to last 432 full cycles of 15 seconds (auto-off timing). If you prefer a rechargeable battery we are able to include a 750mAh 3.7V (rechargeable) in its place. Note: The capacity of the rechargeable battery is approximately the half, you can expect also the runtime to be the half.

First activation / Replacing the battery:

You can access the battery compartment by unscrewing the lid on the back of the Winglights nExt. Remove the handlebar’s locking screws and use either a flat screwdriver or a coin to open it. When you receive your Winglights nExt the batteries will have an insulation pad to avoid accidental activations and preserve their duration. You will have to remove it. The correct orientation of the battery is shown in the pictures, but if you insert it wrongly we’ve got you covered: we added a protection circuit to protect the electronics.

CRESCENT HANDLEBAR INSTALLATION

How to lock the Winglights nExt in place:

Step 1) Install, but do not tighten, the M4 screw and the internal adapter into the front facing hole; do the same with the M5 headless screw into the rear facing hole.
Step 2) Slide the WingLight nExt in place and tighten both screws.

Adjusting the orientation:

If the LEDs are not aligned and parallel to the ground, you have the possibility of changing the orientation of the lights. Remove the headless screws that lock the head of the nExt and rotate it slowly and gently. You can only rotate the head in angles of ±22.5°. Once in the desired orientation insert back the screws until they are at same level of the surrounding surface. Screwing them in too much will result in them detaching and falling inside. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS OPERATION, ALTHOUGH POSSIBLE, IS NOT RECOMMENDED AND WILL VOID THE WARRANTY AS IT COUD DAMAGE THE INTERNAL WIRES.

HOLLOW HANDLEBAR INSTALLATION

How to lock the Winglights nExt in place:

Step 1) Install, but do not tighten, the M5 headless screws into the front and rear holes.
Step 2) Slide the WingLight nExt in place and tighten both screws.
